DID YOU KNOW - Birds Body Temperature

A birds normal body temperature is usually 7-8 degrees hotter than a humans. A bird uses up to three quarters of the air it breathes just to cool down because they are unable to sweat.

That must be why their little feet are so hot! (Back in the day we had a parakeet. He was cool. Gave kisses and harassed the dog by trying to land on her back.)
